Before You Begin
This tool assumes you already reviewed the fuller privacy primer before arriving here. If you have not, please do that first - it covers VPN vs. Tor, why private/incognito browsing is not anonymity, and basic device hygiene.
Use a VPN or Tor Browser before continuing. This app never sees or logs your real IP on our end for anything it does on your behalf - but the moment you leave it and click an external link, that protection is entirely up to your own setup, not ours.
What this app does and does not do
- No email is collected or required - your password is your entire account.
- Your case notes are encrypted with a key derived from your own password. We cannot read them, and we cannot reset your password for you - there is no recovery path except the one-time recovery key you'll be shown once, at signup.
- Do not put identifying details about yourself or a confidential source directly into your notes. Keep anything genuinely sensitive in a local encrypted volume on your own device instead -
VeraCrypt is a solid, well-regarded free option for that.
- If you do not log in at least once every 45 days, your account and cases are permanently deleted - by design, so that if you are ever unable to log in for any reason, your data does not remain on the server indefinitely.
Everything above is guidance, not a guarantee we can enforce on your behalf. What happens outside this server - your device, your network, what you type into a note - is entirely in your own hands.
