Fires and Heat Detections (NASA FIRMS)

Recent heat detections seen by NASA satellites near a place: enter a place name or coordinates such as 34.05, -118.25. The strongest detections are listed first. A detection is a heat source seen from space. It is usually a fire, but industrial flares, furnaces and volcanoes can show up too, and clouds can hide fires. Each one links to a satellite search for that spot.
