Banned and Restricted Products
Governments restrict products and companies for very different reasons. A sanction is a decision about a country, company or person. A security restriction is a judgment that a vendor is a risk. A recall means a product harmed or could harm people. This page groups the official lists by that reason so you can see why something was restricted, and links to each list rather than copying it, because they change often. A listing is a government action, not proof of wrongdoing, and an absence from a list is not proof of safety.
Search sanctions and recalls Checks a name against the OFAC sanctions lists and federal product recalls at once.
Sanctions and trade restrictions (7)
Governments restrict dealings with specific countries, companies and people, usually for foreign-policy or security reasons (Russia, Iran, North Korea, terrorism, narcotics, human-rights abuse). Being listed is a government decision about a name, not a finding about a product.
